Apple Pie Fingers

These apple pie fingers are super easy and fun to make and are flaky little easy bites, delicious with adorable presentation.

Ingredients

3 apples, peeled and grated

handful fresh mint leaves, finely chopped

½ lime juice

1 cup sugar ( your choice: brown, white)

2 sheets puff pastry

½ cup oat or plain flour

1 tsp vanilla essence

½ tsp cinnamon powder

2 eggs yolk

Preparation

In a pot with 1 cup water add all ingredients but puff pastry 🙂 :). Allow to simmer for 10-15 minutes, until reduce juice. Then, remove from the heat and let to cool. Mint leaves give such a lovely minty taste and flour or oat make the apple mixture thick.

Preheat oven to 180C.

Grease baking tray with butter. Lay out one puff pastry sheet in the tray and spread apple mixture over the entire surface of pastry sheet. Place second puff pastry sheet on top. With a pizza roller cut vertically thin strips.

Brush eggs wash over the pastry and sprinkle brown sugar as well. Place in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes. Once apple pie is golden brown, remove from oven and serve with your favourite dipping, custard cream or ice cream.

پای سیب انگشتی

تهیه ی این پای سیب خیلی خیلی آسون هست به اضافه ی اینکه طعم نعنایی- دارچینی مطبوعی داره همراه با ظاهر قشنگ با بافت کریسپی.

مواد لازم

سه عدد سیب پوست گرفته و رنده شده

به میزان یک مشت دست برگ تازه ی نعنا- ریز خرد شده

نصف لیمو ترش

یک پیمانه شکر

دو ورقه خمیر هزار لایه یا پاف پیستری

نصف پیمانه جو پرک شده

دو زرده تخم مرغ

یک ق چ عصاره وانیل

نصف ق چ دارچین

طرز تهیه

در یک قابلمه یک پیمانه آب را به همراه باقی مواد ذکر شده در بالا بجز خمیر هزار لایه به مدت 15-10 دقیقه به آرامی حرارت می‌دهیم. نعنای خرد شده عِطر خیلی قشنگی به مایع در حال آماده شدن میده – همینطور استفاده از جو پرک شده یا آرد هم به مایه پای سیب غلظت کافی را میده.

وقتی مایه پای سیب آماده شد می‌گذاریم کمی بمونه تا خنک بشه.

فر رو بر روی حرارت 180 درجه ی سانتیگراد می‌گذاریم تا گرم بشه. روی سینی کیک پزی رو با کره چرب می کنیم. یک ورقه خمیر هزار لایه رو روی سینی پخش می‌کنیم و مایه تهیه شده رو روی سطح خمیر پخش می کنیم. بعد خمیر دوم رو روی مایع قرار می دیم.با یک کارد خمیر رو به صورت عمودی و نوارهای باریک برش می دیم.

روی خمیر زرده ی تخم مرغ رو می‌زنیم تابعد از پخت سطح براقی داشته باشه. همینطور کمی شکر روی آن پخش می کنیم.

داخل فر قرار می دیم تا برای 20-15 دقیقه بپزه. وقتی آماده شد می تونید با بستنی یا سس کارامل- توت فرنگی یا سس مورد علاقه اتون سرو کنید.

I have learned my traditional Persian and Azerbaijani recipes from my lovely mother, and she has learned from her mother. Over the years, I have experimented and learned more recipes. Some of my recipes are a fusion Western and Middle Eastern cuisine. Some are forgotten from Persian cooking tables and I try with posting and sharing those ones, to preserve them.
