Fried Potatoes in Yogurt Batter

This is an easy pan fried potatoes recipe which is dipped in Greek yogurt batter with dried dill leaves and spices. I bet you would love it.

Fried Potatoes in Yogur Batter

  • 300 g potatoes, boiled and peeled off
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tbsp Greek yogurt
  • 2 tbsp plain flour
  • 1 tbsp dried dill leaves
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  1. In a large bowl, add all ingredients but potatoes.



  2. Blend well until you have a smooth batter.



  3. Heat the oil in a pot. Dip cooked potatoes in the batter until coated entirely



  4. and fry in the oil, until crispy andgolden. Once all potatoes done,



  5. fry remaining batter in the oil.



  6. Spread fried batter in a platter and place fried potatoes all over it.



سیب زمینی سرخ شده در سس ماست

این دستور تهیه ی سیب زمینی سرخ شده بسیار آسان و فوری و فوتی هست . با استفاده از یک سس ماست فوق‌العاده که ترکیبی از ماست با شوید خشک و ادویه های معطر هست میتوان خالق سیب زمینی های سرخ شده با طعمی بینظیر شد که صددر صد عاشق آن خواهید شد.

مواد لازم

سیصد گرم سیب زمینی آبپز شده و پوست گرفته

دو عدد تخم مرغ

سه ق غ ماست

دو ق غ آرد

یک ق غ شوید خشک

 نصف ق چ پودر پاپریکای دودی

نمک و فلفل به میزان لازم

روغن مایع برای سرخ کردن

طرز تهیه

داخل یک‌کاسه ی بزرگ تمام مواد لازم بجز سیب زمینی را ریخته و خوب هم می‌زنیم تا یک مایه یک‌دست و روانی داشته باشیم. روغن مایع را داخل قابلمه داغ می کنیم. سیب زمینی ها را چند چند تا داخل مایه ماست ریخته و خوب پشت و رو میکنیم تا تمام سیب زمینی ها با مایه پوشانده شوند.

هر باردو سه عدد از سیب زمینی ها را داخل روغن ریخته و وقتی سطح آن‌ها سرخ شده از قابلمه خارج می کنیم. وقتی تمام سیب زمینی ها سرخ شدند اگر مقداری از مابه هنوز باقی‌مانده بودآن را داخل روغن ریخته و سرخ می کنیم.

مایه سرخ شده را داخل بشقاب ریخته و سیب زمینی ها ی سرخ شده را روی آن می ریزیم.

I share my recipes in Farsi/English along with step by step photos of preparation. I take all my own pictures. I have learned my traditional Persian and Azerbaijani recipes from my lovely mother, and she has learned from her mother. Over the years, I have experimented and learned more recipes. Some of my recipes are a fusion Western and Middle Eastern cuisine. Some are forgotten from Persian cooking tables and I try with posting and sharing those ones, to preserve them.
