Russian Tomato Salad

This is a delicious tomato salad with simple and little ingredients. Super simple with super available ingredients in every pantry, including: tomatoes, onion (red or white) and yogurt or sour cream, it will be your personal choice. Tomato salad, would go perfectly on burgers or with stews and curry too. You can prepare the salad in advance (1-2 hours) before serve, and let all flavours and juice develops.

Russian Tomato Salad

  • 3 large tomatoes,cut into chunks
  • 1 small onion, cut into think strips
  • 2-3 tbsp plain yogurt or sour cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  1. Cut tomatoes in bigger or smaller chunks, it is up to you and add them to onion.



  2. Slice onion as thin as possible. If onion is bitter, place sliced onion into a colander and keep it under cold tap water for few seconds. It will help to get rid of onion's bitterness.



  3. Season with salt and pepper.



  4. Add palin yogurt or sour cream too. Gently mix all ingredients together ad yes, It is done.



سالاد روسی  گوجه‌فرنگی 

این یک سالاد خوشمزه و بسیییییییار ساده با مواد لازم خیلیییییییییی جزیی  هست که در کابینت هر آشپزخانه پیدا میشه. یعنی با چند تا گوجه‌فرنگی پیاز ماست یا خامه ترش این سالاد تهیه میشه. استفاده از ماست یاخامه ترش بستگی به سلیقه و ذائقه شخصی شما داره.

گوجه‌فرنگی ایرانی یکی از خوشمزه ترین و خوش طعم ترین گوجه‌فرنگی ها در دنیاست. با گوجه  فرنگی های خوشمزه ی  این سالاد ساده ولذیذ رو میشه فوری تهیه کرد. اگر یکی دوساعت قبل از مصرف کردن این سالاد. آن رو تهیه کنید و در یخچال قرار بدید که عالی میشه چون طعمش جا میفته

این سالاد رو میشه رو برگر هم گذاشت و یا در کنار کته و خورش هم سرو کرد.

مواد لازم

سه عدد گوجه‌فرنگی که درشت خرد شده باشن

یک عدد پیاز کوچک سفید یا قرمز خیلی خلالی خرد شده

دو سه ق غ ماست یا خامه ترش

نمک و فلفل به میزان لازم

طرز تهیه

پیاز را تا حد امکان خلالی و نازک خردمیکنیم. اگر پیاز تلخ بود میتونید بعد از خرد کردن داخل یک آبکش ریخته و چند ثانیه زیر شیر آب سرد قرار بدهید تا تلخی آن کمتر بشه. بعد گوجه‌فرنگی ها را درشت درشت میبایست خرد کرد ولی بازهم اگر دوست ندارید میتونید کوچک‌تر هم خرد کنید. پیاز و گوجه را داخل یک‌کاسه ریخته – ماست یا خامه ترش را افزودهنمک و فلفل به میزان لازم اضافه کرده و مواد را به آرامی با هم مخلوط میکنیم. همین نوش جان

I share my recipes in Farsi/English along with step by step photos of preparation. I take all my own pictures. I have learned my traditional Persian and Azerbaijani recipes from my lovely mother, and she has learned from her mother. Over the years, I have experimented and learned more recipes. Some of my recipes are a fusion Western and Middle Eastern cuisine. Some are forgotten from Persian cooking tables and I try with posting and sharing those ones, to preserve them.
