How to Make Iranian Coconut Macaroons –Shirni Nargili

If you are a coconut lover, and you have tried coconut macaroons, so, do not forget add Iranian coconut cookies شیرینی نارگیلی to your cooking list as well and try these tasty cookies too. it is Soft, moist, tender and chewy on the inside, crispy and golden on the outside . This super easy recipe made With only few ingredients, you can create such delicious coconut cookies. We love these cookies in Iran. These are delicious and garnished with chopped nuts such as almonds or pistachios.

The Persian word for coconut is nargil نارگیل . Maybe you ask, Does coconut grow in Iran? And Answer is a BIG yes. Kish island, is located in the Persian Gulf خیلج فارس, and nearly 3000 coconut trees have been planted across the ٍeastern coastlines of Kish Island جزیره کیش, covering a space of roughly 20 hectares, granting especial beauty to this island.

How to make Iranian Coconut Macaroons – Shirni Nargili

  • 125 g  shredded coconut
  • 240 g white sugar
  • 150g g egg white, I used 6 small eggs
  • 90 ml vegetable oil, I used sunflower oil
  • 8 g vanilla sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Chopped almonds or pistachios for topping
  1. Ingredients



  2. Add sugar, shredded coconut, half of egg whites and half of vegetable oil in a large bowl.



  3. Use a blender and mix all ingredients together until you have a paste like.



  4. Next, transfer the paste to a non-stick pan and place the pan on a low heat. Keep stirring for 3-4 minutes until sugar dissolved.



  5. Then, while pan still is on a low heat, add remaining egg white and vegetable oil to the paste. Use a wooden spoon and keep stirring for 2-3 minutes until you have a soft paste.





  6. Now, transfer the paste into a plate. Add lemon juice and vanilla sugar. Mix all ingredients and let cool down for an hour.




  7. After an hour, preheat the oven to 170C degree. Line the baking tray with parchment paper.

    Dip ice cream scoop in vegetable oil and scoop coconut paste onto the baking tray with distance.




  8. Garnish cookies with chopped almonds or pistachios. Bake for about 10-15 minutes until the macaroons are golden at the edges. Now are cookies are done



  9. Leave the cookies to cool on the tray and then transfer them to a platter or a container and enjoy it or as we say in Farsi Nosh-e Jan



چطوری شیرنی نارگیلی خوشمزه درست کنیم

اگر از نارگیل خوشتون میاد باید حتمن این شیرینی‌های نارگیلی رو امتحان کنید. داخل این شیرینی نرم هست و رویه ی آن ترد و طلایی.

برای درست کردن شیرینی نارگیلی فقط نیاز به چند ماده ی اولیه هست

مواد لازم

صدوبیست و پنج گرم پودر نارگیل

دویست چهل گرم شکر سفید

صدوپنجاه گرم سفیده تخم مرغ

نود میلی لیتر روغن مایع

هشت گرم شکر وانیلی

یک ق غ آبلیمو

مقداری بادام یا پسته خرد شده

طرز تهیه

داخل یک ظرف شکر – پودر نارگیلنصف سفیده تخم مرغ و نصف روغن مایع را ریخته و با غذاساز آنهارا مخلوط و پوره کنید.

سپس خمیر را داخل یک تابه ی نچسب ریخه و آن را روی حرارت کم قرار داده و به مدت 4-3 دقیقه و مدام هم میزنیم تا شکر حل شود.

در مرحله ی بعدیباقیمانده سفیده تخم مرغ و روغن مایع را اضافه کرده و همچنان روی حرارت کم و به مدت 3-2 دقیقه مدام مواد هم  میزنیم تا به تابه نچسبد..

سپس تابه را از روی حرارت برداشته ومواد را به یک ظرف منتقل کرده و آبلیمو و شکر وانیلی رو هم اضافه کرده و با قاشق مواد را با هم مخلوط میکنیم. خمیر آماده شده را کنار گذاشته تا کاملن سرد شود.

داخل سینی فر را با کاغذ روغنی میپوشانیم. یک قاشق بستنی را داخل روغن مایع فرو میکنیم و بعد مقداری از خمیر را برداشته و داخل سینی خمیررا  با فاصله قرار میدهیم. چرب کردن قاشق مانع از جسبیدن خمیر به قاشق خواهد شد.

روی شیرینی‌ها را پسته یا بادام خرد شده میریزیم . سینی را داخل فر گذاشته تا شیرینی‌ها به مدت 15-10 دقیقه پخته و طلایی شوند.
