My Savoury Bread (Cake)

Savoury bread (cake) is very popular in France .Today I was thinking what kind of bread I make. I had a look into the fridge and found some olives and spring onions.

Then I went to my small garden and collected some fresh basil and baked my savoury bread. But if you do not like basil, just easily add fillings of your choice. your favourite herbs such as dill, coriander or parsley. but you can add fillings of your choice.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cup all purpose flour
  • 3 eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper

Ingredients for filling

  • ½ cup fresh basil leaves
  • ½ cup cheddar cheese, chopped into chunks
  • 1 cup black/green olives
  • 1 lemon zest
  • small bunch of parsley
  • 2 spring onions, green part

Instructions

Preheated oven to 180C.

First purée basil and parsley leaves, green part of spring onions and lemon zest. This gives extraordinary flavour to our bread (cake).

For bread batter: place the flour in a large bowl. Add baking powder, salt and pepper. Mix together. Add eggs, milk and vegetable oil. Using a spatula and combine all together well.

Coat olives with 1tbsp of flour. This will prevent olives from sinking into the bottom when baking. Now add purée herbs, olives and chopped cheddar cheese. Combine all ingredients well together.

You can either lightly Butter the loaf pan or spray oil , so that parchment paper sticks on it. Then butter parchment paper.

Fill the pan with batter and Bake in the oven for 45-50 minutes. Once bread is ready, remove from the oven, top the bread with drizzle of olive oil and grated cheddar cheese. Place the cake inside the oven again for 3 minutes until cheese is melted.

Remove from the oven and serve it.

it’s very flavourful, soft, with melted cheese, citrusy and taste of olive.

نان زیتون با سبزیجات

نان سیوری savoury یک نوع نان پرطرفدار در فرانسه هست که مواد مختلف گوشتی یا سبزیجات را با خمیر نان مخلوط کرده و می پزند که خیلی خوش عِطر و مزه و خوش رنگ میشه. امروز من هم میخواستم یک همچین نونی درست کنم و دیدم مقداری زیتون و پیازچه و جعفری داخل یخچال داشتم همینطور تو باغچه ی کوچک خونمون هم از ریحون هایی که خودم کاشته بودم کمی چیدم و این نون رو درست کردم . البته من این سبزیجات رو به نون اضافه کردم ولی شما می تونید به انتخاب خودتون مثلن شوید – جعفری – گشنیز ….. اضافه کنید.

مواد لازم

یک و یک دوم پیمانه آرد

سه عدد تخم مرغ

نصف پیمانه شیر

نصف پیمانه روغن مایع

یک ق چ بیکینگ پودر

یک چهارم ق چ نمک

یک چهارم ق چ فلفل

مواد لازم برای داخل خمیر

نصف پیمانه ریحان خرد شده

نصف پیمانه پنیر چدار خرد شده

یک پیمانه زیتون سیاه یا سبز هسته گرفته

پوست یک لیموی رنده شده

یک دسته ی کوچک جعفری

دو پیازچه

طرز تهیه

فر را روی حرارت 180 درجه سانتیگراد گرم کنید.

اول از همه برگ ریحان – جعفری وبخش سبز پیازچه را همراه با پوست لیمو داخل غذا ساز ریخته و به صورت پوره در آورید.این سبزیجات عِطر فوق‌العاده‌ای به نون میدن.

برای خمیر نون: ابتدا آرد را داخل یک‌کاسه ی بزرگ ریخته و بیکینگ پودر- نمک و فلفل را به آن بیفزایید و هم بزنید. حالا تخم مرغ ها را همراه با شیر و روغن مایع روی آرد ریخته و همه ی مواد را باهم مخلوط کنید.

زیتون ها را با یک ق غ آرد مخلوط کنید این کار باعث می‌شودزمان پخت زیتون ها به ته خمیر نرفته و وسط آن بمانند. حالا سبزیجات پوره شده – زیتون ها و پنیر چدار خرد شده را به خمیر اضافه کرده و خوب هم بزنید تا تمام مواد با هم مخلوط شوند.

داخل قالب را کمی چرب کرده و کاغد آشپزی را داخل قالب قرار دهید. خمیر آماده شده را داخل قالب ریخته و بگذارید برای 50-45 دقیقه نان در فر بپزد. وقتی نان حاضر شد از فر خارج کنید ویک ق غ روغن زیتون روی نان ریخته و کمی پنیر چدار روی آن رنده کرده و مجددن به داخل فر برگردانید و بگذارید برای سه دقیقه دیگر هم حرارت ببیند تا پنیر روی نان هم آب شود.

نان آماده شده نرم – معطرو پنیری همراه با طعم ملایم لیمو و مزه ی زیتون فوق‌العاده میشه. نان را از فر خارج کنید و وقتی سرد شد از قالب بیرون آورده و سرو کنید.
