Potato Sandwich

Several years ago I visited Urmia, a beautiful ancient city in the NW of Iran. This city has a diverse population included Muslims and Christians. And that’s why you can see many churches and cathedrals in this place.

Urmia ارومیه has many parks, lakes, touristic coastal villages , landscape attractions and museums. So as I said early, several years ago I travelled to t his city and one evening after a long day visiting different places, I was hungry and looking to get some food and I saw a s an old street seller man, was selling potato sandwiches. It was a simple sandwich: grilled potatoes, fresh local bread, fresh herbs and local cheese and butter.

I got one, and I did enjoy a looooot. It was just so good and healthy food.

For unknown reason , I just remembered it and tried to recreate it at home. The production was satisfying and we enjoyed it. So this is my potato sandwich in two different versions : one with Feta cheese and other one with boiled egg.

Potato in Farsi is called سیب زمینی=Sib Zamini = earth apple 😎 and sandwich is an imported word to Farsi language. But I did not know sandwich is name of a historic town in SE of England but now I know 👩‍🎓

Ingredients

  • 2 large potatoes
  • Feta cheese
  • boiled egg
  • Lavash bread or Tortilla bread
  • Butter
  • Fresh herbs such as: green onions, mint, chives
  • Salt and pepper to taste

How to make it?????

In a pot with enough salted water, add potatoes. Use a knife or fork and make small holes on potatoes, it will help potatoes cook faster.

Once potatoes are done, peel skin off and grill them. Grilling will make them taste smokey. I love smokey taste.

Melt the butter. Place one tortilla bread on a plate and brush surface of the bread with melted butter. Mash the potato on the bread. Season with salt and pepper.

Sprinkle crumbed cheese on the potato and add herbs. Roll the bread and cut it into half.

In other sandwich instead of cheese , I added boiled egg.

ساندویچ سیب زمینی 

سلام به همه دوستانخوبید ؟؟ .دیروز یک ساندویچ خیلی خیلی خیلی ساده درست کردم ولی باور کنید اینقدر خوشمزه هست که از ده تا همبرگر مک دونالد یا ساب وی هم خوشمزه تره هم سالمتر. خوب شما رو نمیدونم ولی خودم که اینجور فکر میکنم اینجور یه 

وقتی میخواستم این متن رو بنویسم کلمه ساندویج برام خیلی جالب اومد که چطور در بیشتر کشورهای دنیا از این کلمه استفاده میشه. البته همه ما میدونیم ساندویچ به یک نوع غذای سرد گفته میشه که معمولن بین دوتکه نانسبزیجاتپنیر گوشت یا تخم مرغ و … قرار میدن . این نوع غذا در بیشتر کشورهای دنیا هم طرفدار داره و هم اینکه به همین نام هم معروف هست.

وقتی از آقای گوگل در مورد ساندویچ پرسیدم متوجه شدم که ساندویچ اسم یک شهر کوچیک و تاریخی در انگستان هست که حدود 300-200 سال پیش یکی از اعیان شهر ساندویچ که لقب «ارل» داشته یعنی یک لقب اشرافی که ازطرف پادشاه یا ملکه انگلستان به کسی داده میشه. خلاصه یک روز ارل شهر ساندویچ به مستخدمش دستور میده که براش چند تکه گوشت رو بین دو تا تکه نان بگدارن و بهش بدن چون اینجوری دیگه احتیاج به قاشقچنگال نداشت و راحت می تونست لقمه رو گاز بگیره و در عین حال بازی شطرنجش رو انجام بده 🙂

از اون زمان تا بحال اسم اینجور لقمه ها رو ساندویچ گذاشتن  همین دیگه

مواد لازم

دو عدد سیب زمینی

مقداری پنیر تبریزی خودمون یا اگر خارج تشریف دارید فتا چیز

یک عدد تخم مرغ آبپز

نان لواش

مقداری کره

مقداری سبزی خوردن : هر سبزی که خودتون دوست دارید

نمک و فلفل کاین به میزان لازم

طرز تهیه

داخل یک قابلمه مقداری آب با نمک بریزید. سیب زمینی ها را با چنگال چند سوراخ کنید این کارباعث می‌شود سیب زمینی ها سریع‌تر پخته شوند

وقتی سیب زمینی ها خوب نرم و آبپزشدند یا پوست سیب زمینی ها را جدا کنید و یا با پوست رو گاز آن‌ها را کبابی کنید که طعم دودی خوشی بگیرند.

مقداری کره را آب کنید. روی نان لواش کره آب شده را پخش کنید و یکی از سیب زمینی ها را با چنگال روی نان خرد کنید. روی سیب زمینی نمک و فلفل بزنید. من روی یکی از سیب زمینی ها تخم مرغ آبپز اضافه کردم و به دیگری پنیر فتا را خرد کرد و روی سیب زمینی پخش کردم.

و بالاخره مقداری سبزی مثل پیازچه – نعنا…. بگذارید و نان را رول کنید.

باور کنید به‌قدری خوشمزه و لذیذ هست که اگر امتحان کنید باور میکنید.
